Thank You

I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to all of our friends and family. We have been so blessed by the outpouring of love and support for us with regards to our new baby girl. We have had many phone calls, emails, and wonderful meals and gifts. Annika is doing great. The jaundis has not made a return. What a relief! She is such a sweet baby and very cuddly. She sleeps great, a little too good. Her weight is down lower than the pediatrician felt was ok. We are now supplimenting to help her with her calories. We are so greatful that she is healthy. They have done many tests and poked her little heals many times. This pregnancy has been a little stressful but we are so happy she is finally here. We are now adjusting to life with 3 children. It isn't so bad with Joe home. We can tag team quite a bit and feel like we are still good parents. However I am very nervous for the time when it is just me home alone!!! Madi is a sweet big sister who is so helpful. She wakes up each morning excited to come and see her baby sister. Gavin loves baby sister but feels a little jipped on the attention. He told us today that he is special. We felt for him and have been trying to give him a little extra attention. We just wanted to let you all know how much we appreciate you. We love you all.

Like Father Like Son

These past few weeks Gavin has really taken note of everything that Joe does. He has become Joe's little shadow. He wants to be just like daddy. He specifically asked to wear a "bow" like daddy's to church. We found a cute little tie for him and he is so proud. Joe has made sure that he calls it a tie and not a bow!!!!Here is Madi and her birthday dress and our handsome little G. Can you see GQ material here!!!

I can't wait to put Annika in her matching dress!!!

Annika Desirae Urvina

Annika Desirae Urvina was born on Sunday February 3rd, 2008, at 6:18 pm (Right in the middle of the Super Bowl, thank goodness for DVRs). She weighed 8 lbs and 6 ozs, was 21.25 inches long and has more hair than I've ever seen on a little baby.

Gavin liked to keep his distance at first. He has slowly warmed up to the new "baby" in our family. He is very good at using his quiet voice to tell everyone that baby is sleeping.

Adrienne stayed at the hospital with Annika for several days as the nurses worked on clearing up a little case of Jaundice. Madi and Gavin enjoyed going to see Annika and Mommy, probably because of all the great snacks Mommy had there.

Finally on Thursday, February 7th, we got to dress Annika in some cute clothes to take her home. The kids were so excited to have Adrienne and their new sister come home.

It was a pretty windy day on Thursday, so we decided to try out Annika's cuddly bear parka.

After five long days, Annika finally arrives home.

Fun at the Supermall

Joe needed to keep me distracted on Wed. so we took the kids to the Supermall. We played at the new play area and the kids rode the carousel. And we walked a lot!!!!! Something has to get this baby going.
