Random Pictures

Ok, so I have been told that it has been too long since our last post. So here are some random pictures of the last couple of weeks in sunny, beautiful western Washington.

Annika is responding well to her therapy and her neck is getting much stronger. You can't see it in this picture, but she has a little bald spot on the back of her head. I know that this is very common for babies, but with the rest of Annika's hair being so long it is pretty funny looking.

Madi and Gavin caught a very small frog in the back yard. Which prompted Gavin to tell us that, "Froggies go poop outside." Man, my son is a genius.

Benefits of working at Fred Meyer

So, I work in the evenings at Fred Meyer. It is not a place that I thought I would be at this point in my life. It is the hardest physically that I have worked ever. Well, besides raising my family. I know that you need to do whatever is needed for your family. So, I happily meet the needs of the Fred Meyer Customer. Well, in doing so I was mystery shopped. I guess I passed because they gave me a $25.00 gift card. Well, that in itself was pretty cool. On top of that I get discounts. I also get to know if things are on sale or in stock. So I put all of that to work for me today and bought my dear husband a Wii Fit. So here it is Joey. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas. I got it for only about $63.00. WOO HOO go FM. Wait a minute...Go Adrie!!!

Just Me and My Dad!

This was one of my favorite books when I was little. It fit perfect for this post. Joe and Gavin went on a father/son campout. May 30-31, 2008. It was such a fun adventure for the two of them. They barbequed and ate lots of smores. Gavin tried to keep up with all of the other big boys. These are great memories.

The best thing about the KOA...

The swimming pool. It was so fun to go jump in after a long hot day. We got the kids a few floaty toys, by the end neither one of them wanted to use them. They just wanted their arm rings.

Gavin turned into a little fish. He wanted to be left alone so he could go and swim.

Madi even got a little daring. She is not quite as comfortable in the water as G but she is challenging herself. She was being so brave.

Kelsi Button celebrated her 7th b-day while there. The girls colored their hair pink.

We had a great weekend spending time with the Urvina Family. We can't wait 'til next year!

Tent Camping at the KOA

Tent camping isn't my most favorite thing to do in the whole world. I would much rather be in a plush hotel somewhere drinking a pina colada, however, it sure makes for a fun adventure.

Setting up the tent with a broken pole that has been jimmied up with some duct tape and a wrench or two.

Kids sleeping in your bed because they are warmer there. Then not being able to fill it up because you blew a fuse in you air pump.

Independence day in Leavenworth

We went camping at the KOA in Leavenworth from July 3rd- 6th. We joined Joe's side of the family for some fun.

Leavenworth had a KinderFest. There were free bouncy toys, activities, snow cones, and cotton candy, and of course face painting. It was a hot day but it was a fun celebration.

Afterwards we drove up to Wenatchee for a fireworks display over the river.

Fun while Daddy is home!

Joe was able to take about 2 weeks off to spend time with the fam. He took the kids to the zoo while I was at work. Wow, that is ambitious. We went to the park and played in the backyard. Here are some fun pictures.

Fun times with Annika

Ok, so if you have ever been around Annika in person you have seen her and her many wonderful crazy hair do's! This girl has the longest hair I have seen on a baby so small. Her hair will stick straight up in the back. I will wash it comb it down and as it dries it pops right back up!! I thought I would try curlers and still we get a Jimmy Neutron hair do!

I don't know if you can tell but it is sticking straight up in the back.

Annika really is the sweetest happy baby. She rarely fusses but when she does she pulls the cutest sad face. She get frustrated and blows raspberries then she sticks her lower lip out and cries. I guess only parents think that their baby cries cute!!! We are so whipped.

Annika Update

I do realize that it has been a while since we have had a family post. We have taken a lot of pictures and have had a lot of fun. We just haven't got a chance to sit down and put it on the computer. So here we go.

Last night we attempted to feed little Annika rice cereal with a spoon. It went rather well considering this was her first time. She loved it and thought it was so fun. As you can tell by that adorable smile. It was very messy but she did great with putting her mouth down around the spoon and swishing it around a little with her tongue. Major accomplishment. I know we have lots of work to do but I say, "Way to go Miss Anni"!

We also have her in occupational therapy every other Tuesday and physical therapy every other Wednesday. Her neck strength has improved greatly. We are starting to work with her core muscles. This will help her strengthen her stomach and back to be able to sit up. She is so determined. It is one of her many wonderful attributes.

It is the most ugly thing I have ever seen. It makes me sick.

I want to thank Cory for giving me what appears to now be a chance of a lifetime. I was able to sit courtside this last season for several games at Key Arena. Who knows if that will ever be a possibility again. The Seattle Sonics fans lost, and the city is celebrating as if they won.

What a joke.
