Miss Annika has been working hard the past few months. She has been able to accomplish a lot of goals. She has been sitting unassisted now for over a month. I believe the 26th of Dec. she started doing kind of an army scoot. Not a full fledged army crawl yet but she is on her way. Her motivation, plastic maracas. She loves them. They are perfect for her to hold as they are small and not too heavy. Thank you Aunt T and Uncle John for the maracas. We also have received a SPIO suit. This is a special suit made for her to help her with muscle sensory. The OT said it is kind of like a hug all over her body to help her realize she has them and can use them. We also have some special little shoes for her to help her stand. She doesn't like putting pressure on her feet and is just barely straightening her legs. This also helps with the tippy toe standing that she enjoys.
Today is a milestone. We felt Annika's first tooth. Hooray!!! It is on the bottom.
